Privacy Policy

When you use the app without an account

• Location — your coordinates are sent to our server so prayer times can be calculated and the nearest city found. The request is written to a technical log (see “How long we keep things”).
• Notification token — the identifier your device is given so we can deliver adhan and announcement notifications. It identifies a device, not a person.
• Crash reports — if the app stops unexpectedly we record the device model, OS version and error text, solely to find the problem.
• Usage statistics — which screens are opened is counted anonymously through Google Analytics.

If you sign in with Google or Apple

• We receive your name, email address and profile photo — only to recognise your account and attach the questions and comments you write to you.
• With Apple you may use “Hide My Email”; in that case we only ever see the relay address Apple generates.
• Signing in is optional. Prayer times, qibla and the calendar work fully without an account.

What we do not do

• We show no ads and use no advertising identifier (IDFA / Android Advertising ID).
• We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties for marketing.
• We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone or messages.
• We do not track you outside the app; we have no idea what you do on other sites.

How long we keep things

Prayer time requests are written to a technical log: coordinates, the resolved city, app version, operating system, language and IP address. IP addresses, and the device identifiers in crash reports, are erased automatically after 90 days. Account details and anything you post remain for as long as your account is open. All transfers are encrypted over HTTPS.

Deleting your account

In the app, Settings → Delete account closes your account immediately and erases it permanently after 30 days. If you never created an account, there is no personal record to delete.
