Are adhan and iqamah required for missed (qada) prayers?

Since adhan and iqamah are Sunnah for the prayer itself, not for the time, it is Sunnah to recite the adhan and iqamah when performing missed (qada) prayers as well. Although a prayer performed without adhan and iqamah is valid, it is not preferable.

If more than one qada prayer is to be performed in the same place, it is more virtuous to recite a separate adhan and iqamah for each prayer. However, it is also sufficient to recite the adhan once at the beginning and then recite a separate iqamah for each qada prayer. (Ibn Abidin, Radd al-Muhtar, 1/390-391)
