How can the existence of angels be proven?

Angels are beings that fall outside the scope of the positive sciences, which are based on observation and experimentation, and cannot be perceived by the senses. The fact that they cannot be perceived by sight or other senses is not a valid reason to deny their existence. It is a fact that there are many entities whose existence is believed in, even though they are beyond the reach of positive sciences and cannot be detected by the senses. Essentially, the human mind does not reject the existence of angels and considers it possible.

There are numerous verses and hadiths that provide definite and clear information on this subject. These leave no room for doubt among believers regarding the existence of angels. Some of the evidences related to the existence of angels can be listed as follows:

a) All prophets have reported the existence of angels in the messages they brought. Belief in angels exists in all divine religions.

b) The Qur’an, which is undoubtedly the word of Allah, contains dozens of verses about the existence and characteristics of angels. (see al-Baqara, 2/30-34; Hud, 11/69-70; al-Hijr, 15/28-29; Fatir, 35/1; adh-Dhariyat, 51/24-28; an-Najm, 53/5; at-Tahrim, 66/6)

c) The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who never lied throughout his life, mentioned angels, their characteristics, and sometimes seeing them in many hadiths. (see Muslim, Zuhd, 60 [2996])

d) It is reasonable to accept the existence of special beings who observe and appreciate the unique beauty and perfection in the macro and micro worlds created by the Supreme Creator, and who glorify Allah (the Exalted) by praising Him in this way.
