Is it permissible to recite from the Mushaf while praying?

According to Imam Abu Hanifa, reciting surahs or verses by looking at the Mushaf during prayer invalidates the prayer. According to the Imameyn, although it is disliked (makruh), it does not invalidate the prayer. (Ibn Nujaym, al-Bahr, 2/11) According to the Shafi'is, if a person recites Surah al-Fatiha by looking at the Mushaf during prayer, the prayer is valid. (Shirbini, Mughni al-Muhtaj, 1/353) In this matter, it is more cautious for a person to recite from memory during prayer.
