Is it valid for the obligatory recitation in prayer to be done only mentally, without moving the lips?

If a person who is able to speak recites al-Fatiha and other surahs in prayer only in their mind, without moving their tongue and lips or making any sound, this is not considered recitation (qira’ah). By doing so, the pillar of recitation in prayer is not fulfilled. One must recite in a voice audible to oneself, articulating the letters, but in a way that does not disturb others if there are people nearby. (Marghinani, al-Hidaya, 1/55)
