Is the prayer of those who stand ahead of the imam while performing congregational prayer in Masjid al-Haram valid?

According to the Hanafi, Shafi'i, and Hanbali schools, even around the Kaaba, it is a condition that those praying in congregation must not be ahead of the imam on the same side as the imam. Therefore, if the congregation on the same side as the imam stands ahead of him, they are not considered to be following the imam and their prayer is not valid. However, if those on other sides are closer to the Kaaba than the imam, this does not prevent them from following the imam. According to the Maliki school, it is not a condition for the imam to be ahead of the congregation. However, without necessity, it is disliked (makruh) for the congregation to be ahead of the imam.
