Is ‘ushr required for naturally growing products like reeds and grass?

‘Ushr is not required for naturally growing reeds, grass, and similar things. (Serahsî, al-Mabsût, 3/2; Ibn al-Humam, Fath al-Qadîr, 2/249) However, zakat (‘ushr) is required for products such as poplar and reeds that are cultivated by people for profit.
