Should a person who misses the congregation recite the iqamah when praying alone in the mosque?

Those who enter mosques where the five daily prayers are regularly performed in congregation, in order to perform the obligatory prayer of that time, do not need to recite the adhan or iqamah again, whether they pray in congregation or alone. In mosques and masjids where the five daily prayers are not regularly performed, it is more virtuous to pray by reciting the adhan and iqamah (Alâüddîn, el-Hediyyetü’l-‘Alâiyye, 37), but it is also sufficient to recite only the iqamah. While this is the approach of the Hanafis, many other schools of thought state that reciting the iqamah is recommended in both situations.
