What is the ruling on reciting the internal adhan during Friday prayer?

The adhan that announces the time for the Friday noon prayer, during the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him), was the internal adhan recited inside the mosque after the preacher ascended the pulpit. Therefore, reciting the internal adhan in the presence of the preacher before the sermon on Friday is among the Sunnahs of the sermon.

During the caliphate of Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), as the city expanded and the internal adhan could not be heard everywhere, an adhan began to be recited outside to announce the entry of the prayer time. The practice of reciting the internal adhan, as was done by the Prophet (peace be upon him), was also continued. (Kâsânî, Bedâ’i, 1/152)
