What is the ruling on the blood seen after the termination of an ectopic pregnancy?

According to information from experts, an ectopic pregnancy is when the fertilized egg implants not in the uterus but in the fallopian tubes, and rarely in other areas such as the cervix or abdominal cavity. With today’s medical capabilities, ectopic pregnancy can be detected within a few weeks and, since it poses a life-threatening risk to the mother, it is terminated through various medical interventions. The changes that occur in the uterus during a normal pregnancy also occur to some extent in an ectopic pregnancy. The blood that comes from the uterus after surgery for an ectopic pregnancy is not considered irregular bleeding (istihada); it is postpartum bleeding (nifas). Therefore, a woman in this situation is subject to the rulings of postpartum bleeding.
