What is the ruling on the blood seen during an ectopic pregnancy?

According to information from experts, in the case of an ectopic pregnancy, where the fertilized egg implants not in the uterus but in the fallopian tube, the developing embryo in the tube may eventually cause one or more blood vessels in the area to rupture, resulting in bleeding. Since this bleeding does not originate from the uterus but from ruptured blood vessels, the blood seen during an ectopic pregnancy is considered istihada (non-menstrual bleeding).

The state of excuse (uzur) occurs when the bleeding continues without interruption for the duration of a prayer time and recurs at least once in every prayer time. A woman in this situation should perform ablution (wudu) for each prayer time, just like other people with a valid excuse. This is because the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) instructed a woman with such a condition to do so. (Bukhari, Wudu’, 63 [228])
